BALDWIN — M-37 is closed at the U.S. 10 junction north of Baldwin following a rollover of an 18-wheeler tanker carrying oil on Monday morning.

The driver of the tanker was ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, according to Webber Township Fire Chief Aaron Summers. The driver of an SUV also was injured in the crash and taken to the hospital. The condition of both drivers is currently unknown.

Traffic is being rerouted until the scene is clear.

"We will be out here until probably tonight," Summers said Monday afternoon, adding the tanker was leaking fuel. "We are in touch with the Department of Environmental Equality to make sure the soil isn't contaminated. Big Rapids HAZMAT also is here."

The fuel from the tanker is being transferred to another tanker.
