IRONS — Those looking to support a good cause and enjoy a night of music, dancing and fun are invited to attend the third annual Night Owl Party to help Lake County residents diagnosed with breast cancer. Net proceeds help breast cancer patients with transportation costs, as well as provide funding for prevention at the Susan P. Wheatlake Regional Cancer Center in Reed City.

This year's event begins at 6 p.m. and will last until midnight, on Saturday, Oct. 20, at Skinner Park Hall in Irons, 5074 W. 10 1/2 Mile Road. The evening includes live entertainment from classic rock cover band, Onager, at 8 p.m. A Chinese raffle and silent auction will begin at 6 p.m., and 50/50 raffles will be called. Coolers are allowed.

As a breast cancer survivor, event organizer Christina Hinken wants to reach out to others in the county who are facing the same struggles and expenses she went through. She is hoping for a great turnout.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. For tickets, donations or silent auction items, call Christina at (616) 802-8229.

Tickets also will be sold at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 12, at Oak Grove Tavern, 5482 W 10 1/2 Mile Rd, Irons, and at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at Na-Tah-Kah Tavern, 5796 N. Bass Lake Road, Irons.
