IRONS — The public is invited to treat themselves to some Cajun cooking for a good cause this Saturday. St. Bernard Catholic Church in Irons is hosting its annual Mardi Gras dinner.

The meal will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 5734 W. 10 ½ Mile Rd. Irons.

This year’s dinner will benefit Circle Rocking “S” Farms near Free Soil.

The menu includes chicken and sausage gumbo, pork and sausage jambalaya, red beans and rice, pecan pie and homemade bread pudding.

Food is well-seasoned, but not spicy. Extra seasonings are available upon request.

The cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children under 12. There also will be a bag auction with tickets for $1 each or six for $5.
