Local woman graduates


Genevieve Bailey (daughter of Deidre Dostal) graduated in May, 2014 from the University of Montana with a B.A. degree in Political Science & International Relations.

During her university years, she was selected to be Colorado’s spokesperson for President Obama’s “America’s Great Outdoor Initiative,” support for local grassroots conservation initiatives. With this experience, she spent the next summer as an intern for Democratic Senator Max Baucus.

On campus, Genevieve was elected to the ASUM Senate (Associate Student University of Montana) serving fellow students and is currently an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

She spent her junior year abroad at Leiden University, Netherlands, one the top universities in the world, studying International Policies (The Hague).

Genevieve will be attending Lewis & Clark Law School in the fall, studying for a J.D. Degree in Environmental and Natural Resources Law.
