Lions Club to host 'How Service Clubs Work For You' presentations

BALDWIN — Tuesday, March 29 at the Hollister Senior Center in Baldwin, The Baldwin Lions Club will kick off the first in a series of programs titled “How Service Clubs Work.” The programs will include:

• Leader Dog Program

The Leader Dog program will highlight everything you wanted to know about guide dogs but were afraid to ask. Here is your chance to see up close and personal how a puppy is raised and trained to become a future Leader Dog.

• Organ Donor Awareness Program

Learn how you can become an Organ Donor and how donor recipients can become productive and continue to be productive members of their communities.

• Used Eyeglasses Program

Where do those eyeglasses go that I donate to the Lions Club? See and learn how Lions Club members travel to other countries to distribute the glasses that you donate locally.

• New Eyeglass

Learn how the Lions Clubs can provide qualified local residents with quality eye wear.

• Hearing Aid Program

The Lions Club may be able to provide needy applicants in the community with quality hearing services. Learn first hand how the program works.

• Who are the Lions?

Learn how everyday people can serve their community by joining the world’s largest service organization. The Club provides world wide humanitarian services and you can be a part of it. Complete details in the near future.
