BALDWIN — The Baldwin Troutarama Committee is pleased to announce that the family of the late Edie Mitchell will serve as the Grand Marshals for the 2013 Grand Parade. Edie served as a director and festival chairman of Troutarama. Troutarama is continuing with the tradition of honoring deceased festival directors. Previously the families of Norma Russell and Ted Pettingill have served as parade Grand Marshals.

The theme for this year’s parade is “For the Good Times”, which is the slogan of Edie’s business, Edie’s Log Bar. Lake County is certainly full of many “Good Times”. Parade entries can relate to any type of Lake County Good Time.

For more information on the Grand Parade or to request an entry into the Parade contact either Lori Braginton or Diana Hipshire at the Lake-Osceola State Bank at 231-745-4601, or Heather Braginton at the Lake County Road Commission at 231-745-4666.

This will be the 57th annual Troutarama. The dates for this year’s festival are July 17-July 21, 2013. Troutarama planning meetings are held the second Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. at the Lake-Osceola State Bank. Anyone who has a suggestion for this year’s festival or is interested in volunteering is invited to attend. Also anyone having suggestions for this year’s festival can turn them in writing to Wengers Insurance.
