Last Songs and Sundaes features New Beulah Land Quartet
BIG STAR LAKE — The last Songs and Sundaes concert of the summer, sponsored by the Lake Community Bible Church, at the north end of Big Star Lake, 8033 Central Park Blvd., will feature the New Beulah Land Quartet from Cadillac, on Sunday, Aug. 26.
Tenor Phil Stagg is no longer with the quartet. Jennifer Clark Doolittle has joined the group. She is the daughter of Jim Clark, who is one of the original singers in BLQ. The Quartet originated in Northwest Michigan 22 years ago, and now consists of Jim, Jennifer, Al Dumond and Sharon Denslow. Their musical ministry is designed to encourage others to follow Christ and bring glory to God with their southern gospel songs and humor.
They have ministered in many churches locally and throughout Northwest Lower Michigan. The quartet has been well received at their two previous concerts at LCBC, and Pastor Bob Sponable said he is looking forward to this year’s concert.
The concert will begin at 5 p.m. inside the church auditorium, followed by ice cream sundaes in the pavilion or church basement. Bring a friend and come prepared to be blessed, encouraged and edified. A love offering for the quartet will be received.
