BALDWIN — The following cases were heard recently in the Lake County Trial Court. All cases may not be reported.

• Areyania Simone Boatwright, 17, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a count of receiving and concealing stolen property (greater than $200, but less than $1,000). A criminal plea hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 28.

• Thomas Shane Gates Sr., 41, of Rodney, was arraigned on counts of larceny (greater than $200, but less than $1,000) and breaking and entering without the owner's permission. A criminal plea hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 28.

• Brian Marvin Tjapkes, 42, of Muskegon, was arraigned on three counts of breaking and entering a building with intent and malicious destruction of a building (greater than $1,000, but less than $20,000). Tjapkes also was charged as a habitual offender, third offense. A preliminary exam is set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6. In a separate case, Tjapkes was arraigned on counts of malicious destruction of trees/shrubs/crops/grass and disturbing the peace. A pretrial is set for 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 28.

• Brandon Wesley Gose, 34, of Luther, was arraigned on a count of domestic violence. A pretrial is set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• Shondra Jean Leach, 48, of Luther, was arraigned on a count of operating a vehicle without security. A pretrial is set for 10 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• Ronald Lee Spicer, 30, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a count of operating a vehicle without security. A pretrial is set for 10 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• Arnelious Arland Hanson, 48, of Idlewild, was arraigned on a count of operating a vehicle without security. A pretrial is set for 10 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• David Peter Duane, 56, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a count of operating a vehicle without security. A pretrial is set for 10 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• Jasmine Dell Simpson, 27, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a count of third-degree retail fraud. A pretrial is set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 4.

• Felecia Ann Grein-Cook, 36, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a count of embezzlement by an agent or trustee (less than $200). A pretrial is set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• Randy Lee Singleton, 43, of Irons, was arraigned on a count of false pretenses (greater than $1,000, but less than $20,000). A preliminary exam is set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 5.

• Cheyanne Marie Tjapkes, 42, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a count of assault/assault and battery. A pretrial is set for 9 a.m. on Nov. 7.

• Vannessa Marie Williams, 58, of Idlewild, was arraigned on a count of assault/assault and battery. A pretrial is set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 6.

• Matthew David Schlosser, 26, Cedarville, was arraigned on a count of being a disorderly person and peeping into windows. A pretrial is set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 7.

• Robert Lewis Jamison, 61, of Baldwin, was arraigned on a count of welfare fraud. A criminal plea hearing is set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 4.

• Victor Harrison Williams, 31, of Traverse City, was arraigned on a count of assault with a dangerous weapon. A preliminary exam is set for 1:30 p.m. on Oct. 28.

• Dustin Stuart Miller, 29, of Luther, was arraigned on two counts of resisting and obstructing a police officer, breaking and entering a building with intent, third-degree home invasion, malicious destruction of property (greater than $1,000, but less than $20,000), malicious destruction of a building (greater than $200, but less than $1,000) and assault/assault and battery. Miller also was charged as a habitual offender, second offense. A preliminary exam is set for 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 4.
