Lake County Historical Society to present history of Marlborough

BALDWIN — The history of Marlborough and the Great Northern Portland Cement Company will be presented during the September program for the Lake County Historical Society.

The program begins at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at the Baldwin Business Center, 830 N. Michigan Avenue.

This program, presented by Lake County Historical Museum Curator Jill Engelman, accompanies an exhibit on Marlborough and the Great Northern Portland Cement Company now on exhibit at the museum. During the program, there will be photos, stories and historical information about the rise of town and its demise.
