Lake County Easter Week observance times

LAKE COUNTY — Easter is almost here, and many of Lake County's churches are getting the word out about when and where both residents and visitors can celebrate the holiday.

This year, Maundy Thursday falls on Thursday, March 24, Good Friday on Friday, March 25, and Easter Sunday on Sunday, March 27.

Faith Fellowship Church in Irons will offer Good Friday service at 5 p.m. as well as an Easter observance at the congregation's ordinary times on Sunday at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Baldwin's Grace Lutheran Church will offer a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m., and a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. There will be a sunrise service on Easter Sunday at 7 a.m. with breakfast after, as well as Easter service at the ordinary service time of 10 a.m.

Lake Community Bible Church of Baldwin will celebrate Easter at the normal service times of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Baldwin Congregational Church will offer a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m., as well as a Good Friday service, also at 7 p.m. On Easter Sunday, there will be a "Son Rise" service at 7 a.m. followed by breakfast and another service at the church's normal time of 10 a.m.

Evergreen Evangelical Covenant Church in Branch will be coordinating with Baldwin Congregational Church for the 7 a.m. Son Rise service at Baldwin Congregational and will also celebrate Easter at the church's ordinary Sunday service time at 9:30 a.m.

St. Ann's Catholic Church of Baldwin will offer Maundy Thursday Mass at 6:30 p.m. and a Saturday observance of Easter at 8:30 p.m. Easter Sunday Mass will be at the normal Sunday time of 11 a.m.

St. Ignatius Catholic Church of Luther will provide a Good Friday Mass at 2 p.m. as well as Easter Sunday Mass at the parish's normal Mass time of 9 a.m.

Edgett's Wesleyan Church in Luther will offer a 6 p.m. Good Friday service, a 9 a.m. Easter Sunday breakfast and observe Easter at 11 a.m. on Sunday.
