LUTHER NEWS: A quiet holiday season

Merry Christmas Luther!

I would like to start out by saying I am sorry I didn't write an article two weeks ago. Sometimes life happens and next thing you know deadlines have been missed. So again, I apologize. I can not guarantee it won't happen again, but I will try my hardest to prevent it.

Well, besides all the New Year's Eve Parties there really isn't much activity happening about town. This gives everyone the opportunity to catch up on some much needed — and deserved — family time. You will be able to welcome the new year with J & B Beats at the North Bar or you can find the band Whiskey Bound at Logger's Landing. Both places are offering dinner specials and all your party favors for this festive evening. I hope you get the opportunity to stop in and celebrate the closing of 2015 with friends and family. Remember to be safe, and to never drink and drive. We would like to celebrate in 2016 with you!

The only scheduled meeting will be hosted at 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, at the Ellsworth Township Hall by the Luther Days Association. It's a perfect opportunity to get out and help put this wonderful festival together.

The North Bar would like to thank everyone who participated in their 25 Days of Christmas Giving. This is always a fun thing to do and everyone seems to enjoy it as much as North Bar loves doing it.

Logger's Landing will be doing something a little different on Saturday nights. The new owners, Jeff and Melissa Beegle, will be your bartenders every Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. during the month of January. They will be donating all their tips to the Luther Days Association. So get out, have a good time and make Jeff and Melissa work their tails off this month!

Well folks, I know after a few weeks off you would think I could fill the page, but this is really just a slow time. I am sure in two weeks I will have plenty of stuff to inform you about. So from my family to yours, I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and safe and happy New Year!
