LAKE COUNTY — With the Aug. 7 primary election a month away, those interested in making their voice heard can still register to vote. The deadline for voter registration for the primary election is Monday, July 9.

People can register to vote at the Lake County clerk’s office, their local clerk’s office or at the Secretary of State.

The Baldwin Pathfinder Community Library, the Chase Township Public Library and the Luther Area Public Library also are providing voter registration services.

Those who are registering to vote will need a drivers license and proof of address.

“If people are unsure of their address, they can contact Lake County Equalization of our office, and we can look up their address,” said Vicki Gates, of the Lake County clerk and register of deeds office.
