It’s about the resurrection of Christ

Jesus said in John11:25, “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.” He made a promise of resurrection to all who believed.

“And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day,”(Jn. 6:40).

From promises for us to his own promised resurrection. Matt. 16:21 says, “From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.”

Let’s look at the facts in the text. Matt 28 speaks of Mary and others seeking Jesus’ body when an angel spoke, “The angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay”(Matt 28:5,6) . We celebrate the resurrection of Christ on the Lord’s day(Sunday) as a routine each week. On Easter Sunday we celebrate the memorial of that first morning when believers realized the fulfillmentof the prophecy.

The central truth of the gospel is the resurrection of Christ. Peter, the apostle, preached the resurrection of Christ. “But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you; And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses”(Acts 3:14,15).  Paul preached the resurrection of Christ, “And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the Scriptures, opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you , is Christ” (Acts 17:2,3).

Because of the reality of Christ’s resurrection, we have a risen Saviour not a dead religious leader.  At last, we have someone who can deal with our sin problem.  A Saviour, Jesus Christ, who is alive to

One day Jesus will return with all the souls of the believers who have gone on to heaven. Paul said in 2 Cor. 5:8, “Willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”  Jesus is coming again. He will give every believer a glorified body that day. No one knows when Christ will return but the Father only.

The question is, that you must answer, will you be ready?  What a wonderful thing to be ready for eternity!  Jesus said, “Ye must be born again” (Jn 3:7).  Can you worship a risen Saviour this Lord’s day? Have you humbled yourself, admitted you are a sinner and received Christ into your heart and life?  You may have an opinion about many things, but one day everyone will bow their knee and admit he is Lord.

However, the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ the Lord. Repent and believe before it’s too late, won’t you? It is all about the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s true! Don’t be left behind.
