LAKE COUNTY — Many hunters participated in the Hunt for Hunger program this year, providing venison meat for those who are in need.

Through the program, hunters donate deer they shot to the Bread of Life Food Pantry. M-37 Meat Shack processes the meat for the family to distribute to hungry families.

“We want to thank all of the hunters that participated in the Hunt for Hunger this year,” said Lynne Mills of Bread of Life Food Pantry. “Well over 1,200 pounds of venison has been donated to the pantry to help feed hungry families. Our hunters are so generous, and our families are very thankful to those who shared.

“It was another successful Share the Harvest campaign. We are grateful to the Meat Shack for processing and packaging it for us. As a community a difference is being made in the lives of hundreds of families,” Mills said.
