Have you ever wondered what was covered by water when the dam went in at Croton? The Newaygo County Museum and Heritage Center will feature local historian, Deb Ditlow on Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. Ms. Ditlow will tell about the early history of the Croton area, including Ryan’s Corners and Snow Town.

Ditlow, a meticulous researcher, author and elementary school teacher, has been interested in local history since she was a child growing up in Newaygo County. She has combined her love of local history and her creative skills to produce interpretive signage which may be seen at sites around the county.

Admission is free, but reservations are encouraged as seating is limited. Please call 231-652-5003 to reserve your seat. The Newaygo County Museum and Heritage Center is located at 12 Quarterline in Newaygo. Speaker travel expenses are underwritten by Freedom Chevrolet of Fremont.
