Get to know the candidates

IRONS—With the November election just around the corner, Lake County citizens will have an opportunity to meet the candidates and listen to their stances on issues facing Lake County. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet those running for offices of state legislator for the 100th district, sheriff, prosecutor, clerk, road commissioner, county commissioner district no. 5 and Elk Township clerk and trustee.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide voters with an oportunity to meet candidates, observe the debate between political contenders, and ask questions to candidates running for the state legislature of the 100th district, county offices, and the Township of Elk offices, according to event coordinator, Mary Nalbach. 

The event will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Irons Union Church, 5713 W. Jeffers St., Irons.
