General Mills supports Baldwin Schools

REED CITY – General Mills Community Action Council has recently awarded $130,000 in grants to nonprofits within a 50-mile radius of the General Mills/Yoplait plant in Reed City.

Funds were awarded to groups that focus on hunger and nutrition wellness, education, arts and culture and family services. Recipients included:

  • Angels of Action – $2,800;
  • Baldwin Community Schools – $6,000;
  • Cadillac Area Public Schools – $6,000;
  • Cran-Hill Ranch – $15,000;
  • Day Star Christian Academy – $5,000;
  • Foodbank Council of Michigan – $12,800;
  • Mesick Schools – $5,000;
  • Morley Stanwood Community Schools – $6,000;
  • Pathfinder Library – $4,500;
  • Reed City Area Public Schools – $33,500;
  • STAGE-M – $10,000;
  • Spring Hill Camps – $5,400;
  • St. Mary Catholic School – $5,000;
  • St. Peter’s Lutheran School – $8,000; and
  • Trinity Lutheran School – $5,000.
