BALDWIN — The Baldwin Municipal Airport was a gathering place Aug. 10 through 12, for those who love to fly remote control jets.

The Lake County Modelers and Flyers Association presented Michigan Jet Pilots Boondoggle.

"Quite a few people showed up for the event," said Mac McClellan, president of Lake County Modelers and Flyers Association. "Pilots came from Grand Rapids, Detroit, Muskegon and Tennessee. One guy just joined our club today."

People enjoyed flying their jets over the runway and also helping other pilots get their jets programmed and ready to fly.

"This is just an informal and fun time to get together, hang out and fly," McClellan said. "One of our members provided a steak fry."
