ELK TWP. — Area residents are invited to relax and enjoy some live music to break up the monotony of winter at the Elk Township Hall this Saturday.

Elk Township is hosting a Winter Music Festival beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, at Elk Township Hall, 8966 N Bass Lake Road, Irons.

The Avery and Woods family, of Chase, will play well-known old favorites such as John Denver’s “Country Roads,” and originals with guitars, banjo, mandolin, harmonica, vocals and other instruments. Gary Truxton also will play numbers on the dulcimer.

Cake, ice cream and refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to all.
