LAKE TWP. — The cause of death has been determined for a man who drowned on June 30 in Reed Lake in Lake County.

An investigation was conducted by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Mid-Michigan Medical Examiner Group, and it has been determined Paul Gerald Brown, 52, of Marne, suffered a heart-attack while in the water. The heart attack has been ruled as the cause of death, according to Lake County Undersheriff Wesley Bierling.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on June 30 from a boater who reported seeing a possible body underwater. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team responded and found Brown deceased underwater.
