BALDWIN — Members of the Baldwin Lions Club welcomed the district governor for Lions Club District E-11 during their meeting on Tuesday, who presented on the centennial of the Lions Club International this year.

"I have been to the Baldwin Lions Club a couple times before and it is great to be back," she said. "We are celebrating our 100th birthday this year — 100 years of service. If we as Lions members recognize the world around us, we can make a difference."

She said Lions Club members need to look to the future and keep the organization alive another 100 years.

"I can't tell you enough how important membership is. This is the only way the club will be able to exist the next 100 years."

After the presentation, Walls presented Lions member Laura Johnson a certificate for 40 years of membership.
