Dispatcher of the year awarded

BALDWIN -- At the end of National Telecommunicator's Appreciation Week, Tera Philipp was selected by her peers and others as Dispatcher of the Year.

Tera was recently appointed as a Lead Supervisor, and has been with Lake County 911 Central Dispatch since August of 2010.

Among her qualifications are: LEIN TAC Officer, Certified Training Officer, and Basic Telecommunicator Course Instructor. She has taken on a significant amount of duties and new tasks; in addition to her role as a telecommunicator.

"She is highly regarded among her peers, and supervisors," said Patrick Maddox, Lake County Department of Emergency Management and Homeland Security director. "Tera is well deserved of this honor."
