BALDWIN — Community members had an opportunity to enjoy a fun and educational open house at District Health Department No. 10 in Baldwin on Monday.

Cake, snacks, games, a DJ and tours of the building were part of the fun.

"There was a good turnout with more than 40 in attendance throughout the afternoon," said Quran Griffin, of DHD No. 10. "Folks came out to enjoy our first open house. A lot of people didn't know what services we have at the health department and we got to show our updates on the exam room, our landscaping out front and the newly painted rooms . We have good things going on."

Sandy Johnson enjoyed the afternoon.

"I thought the open house was nice. I learned things I didn't know about this place," she said.
