Controlling yard critters

LAKE COUNTY - Lake County MSU Extension is preparing for the second of three garden workshops scheduled on May 17, from 10 a.m. to noon, held at the community room of the Lake-Osceola State Bank, entitled “How to Control Mammal Pests in the Lawn.”

Space is limited. A $5 fee is required.

At that time, our presenter, Christina Curell, from our Mecosta County MSU Extension office will present her expertise about controlling yard pests like moles, voles and mice that love to tunnel through our flower beds and lawns, as well as, a few above ground mammals, such as raccoons, skunks and possums. Christina’s knowledge spans 14 years with agricultural consulting in Integrated Pest Management and Water Quality for livestock and crop production.
