BALDWIN – Every year when Thanksgiving rolls around, it is a time of being together, enjoying great food and giving thanks.

To ensure no one has to be alone this Thanksgiving, Lake Fellowship Ministries and Men of Purpose are hosting a feast on Thanksgiving Day – a free meal by the community for the community.

The meal, all put together by volunteers, will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at St. Ann’s Senior Center, 690 E. 9th St., Baldwin.

There will be turkey with all the homemade fixings.

“We want to make sure everyone has somewhere to go and that no one has to be alone on Thanksgiving,” said Sandi Bowen, one of the organizers.

Organizers want people to know even though they are using the senior center building. The meal is open to people of all ages and affiliations.

Shut-ins don’t have to miss out on all the great food. They can call Sandi at 231-250-0981.

The group also is planning on having a Christmas meal on Christmas Day. More details to follow at a closer date.
