BALDWIN — With December soon approaching, plans are in gear to celebrate the holiday spirit with a Christmas light tour in Baldwin. Jane Allison and Kelsey Bennett, of Baldwin Lumber, are spearheading the holiday attraction and event.

“We would like to get people involved in decorating for Christmas in the village,” Allison said.

Those who are decorating their home and yard for Christmas, even with just a string of lights, are invited to register their address for a Christmas tour map. The maps will be drawn up and available at Baldwin Lumber for those interested in checking out the glistening holiday sites.

To top off the Christmas light tour attraction, the community is invited to celebrate the holiday with a bonfire, cocoa and Christmas carols with guitar accompaniment on Friday, Dec. 21, at the Hollister Park.

“Firefighters from Webber Township, Pleasant Plains Township and the Baldwin fire departments will participate in the event and maintain the bonfire,” Allison said. “Baldwin Lumber will furnish cocoa for the event and maps for the light tour.”

Allison is planning to have maps available by Dec. 1, and is asking those who want to be included to register their address by Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26.
