Children’s mitten tree providing warmth
LAKE COUNTY — Thanks to a donation from the Chase Main Street Foundation, children accompanying parents to the Victim Advocate/Child Support Office at the Lake County Courthouse this winter, will get to select one pair of gloves and one hat from the children’s mitten tree.
A donor at Chase wanted to distribute winter wear to reach a broader spectrum of the county.
“The chase Main Street Foundation, through a donation provided by the DePew family, provided 40 hats and 40 pairs of mittens to the tree,” said Heather Streicher, of Chase Main Street Foundation. “We appreciate the Lake County Clerk’s office letting the Chase Main Street Foundation team up with them to fill this year’s children’s mitten tree.”
