BALDWIN — The public is invited to a free film showing hosted by Lake County Children’s Trust Fund during a trauma and resilience community forum.

Attendees will view “Resilience - The Biology of Stress and the Science of Hope.”

The event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24 in the Pere Marquette Room at Pompeii’s, 751 Michigan Avenue, Baldwin.

“This is a film that features the ACES study, showing the effects of toxic stress on children, families and communities and the solution to the problem,” said Quran Griffin of District Health Department No. 10. “The film will be followed by a open discussion on how parents, teachers, healthcare workers and the entire community can use the trauma informed approach to support health and safety for all.”

Lunch will be provided.
