Business development professional hired to lead LCEDA
LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Economic Development Alliance is happy to gain new leadership to bring plans forward for the betterment of the county.
Jodi Nichols was hired to serve as the business development coordinator for Lake and Oceana counties by The Right Place, Inc, a regional nonprofit economic organization.
Nichols will provide business support services to prospective and existing companies and will work to improve the overall economic state of the counties through business retention, expansion and attraction, according to a press release.
“Jodi has met with me, along with our LCEDA board several times, now,” said Barb Stenger, LCEDA chair. “We are absolutely thrilled having her on board working for Lake County. This is a really good thing for all of us.”
Prior to her new position, Nichols spent 20 years in community development for various nonprofits in West Michigan.
Nichols will be introduced at the Lake County Board of Commissioners meeting at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, in the commissioners room at the Lake County Courthouse, to share about her plans and goals for the county, Stenger added.
