BALDWIN — St. Ann’s Senior Center was filled with more than 200 people enjoying a hearty breakfast with Santa on Saturday.

Hosted by Baldwin Arts and Action Council each year, the Breakfast with Santa event draws many volunteers from the community who cook and serve pancakes, sausages, biscuits and gravy and scrambled eggs with ham and cheese.

In addition to breakfast, children got to visit Santa and each received a gift.

“This morning went very well,” Santa said. “There was a good crowd and lots of happy kids. It is going to be a busy night on Christmas Eve. They’ve all been good kids this year and looked out for their siblings. That’s what it is all about.”

Event organizer Lee Ann Russell was happy with the participation.

“We received donations to help toward the event, such as the gifts kids received,” she said.
