BIG RAPIDS — Crossroads was 1-2 in the West Michigan D League volleyball tournament hosted by Crossroads on Saturday.

CCA lost to Marion 2-1 in the double elimination tourney, then swept Walkerville 2-0 and was beaten by Mesick 2-0.

Pentwater won the tournament.

Baldwin also was in the tourney and ended 0-2.

Baldwin lost 2-0 to both Brethren and Walkerville at the tournament.

It was 25-14, 25-19 to Brethren and the same to Walkerville.

“The girls played a nice game against Brethren,” Baldwin coach Duane Roberts said. “Against Walkerville, we fell apart.”

One of Roberts’ seniors, Jazlynn Johnson, was out with an illness.

“Cierra Pieske played a solid game at outside attacker,” Roberts said. “She stepped up.”

Baldwin had its final home match on Tuesday against Mason County Eastern.

“Hopefully, we’ll end the (regular season) with a win against them,” Roberts said on Saturday.
