BALDWIN — Baldwin’s track teams were scheduled to make their debut on Wednesday in West Michigan D League action.

Jenna Johnson is among the Baldwin girl athletes expected to have a banner season. She was eighth in the state last season in the 100-meter dash. She had a personal record of 13.10 seconds in that event and had a personal record of 27.55 in the regionals in the 200 meters. Her 4x100 relay team had a best time.

Johnson and other athletes are looking to use upcoming jamborees to set the stage for strong performances in conference and regional meets.

She’s looking to do even better in the 100 dash at the state meet. The spring weather has put the Panthers behind schedule, Johnson added. She’s also doing the 200 in hopes it will help her 100 dash performance.
