BALDWIN — Baldwin’s baseball team is still seeking its elusive first win in the season.

But it’s been close in recent games.

On Monday, the Panthers lost at Bear Lake 7-6 and 8-5.

“They were competitive games,” Baldwin senior Darrin Thomas said. “We had a lot of errors in the field. They had almost none.”

Ryan Kolenbrander, DeMarko Williams and Dexter Hossler pitched for Baldwin.

Thomas combined for five singles during the twinbill.

“The weather was nice,” Thomas said. “One of their pitches had a nice slide.”

Baldwin lost two at Marion on Friday. Scores were not available. Baldwin lost by one run both games, Thomas said.

“There were a lot of errors in the field again,” Thomas said. “We’re getting our chances.”

Baldwin has its final home games of the season on Thursday against Manistee Catholic Central.
