Baldwin 4-H Youth discover leather crafting
LAKE COUNTY — 4-H is about learning skills, having fun and making friends, which is exactly what happened at the Discover 4-H! Discover You! program in Baldwin. Area youth received hands-on, step-by-step instruction on leather crafting under the directions of guest instructor, Melissa McLeod.
Leather crafting is the perfect hobby for both kids and adults alike. It is unique in that it combines both artistic finesse and industrious strength by taking leather and turning it into a variety of craft items, leather products or works of art using leather tools, stamping, shaping methods and coloring techniques. Leather craft is a skill that has been around a long time.
