BALDWIN — For the ninth year in a row, Baldwin Community Schools has received a clean financial rating from financial auditing firm Gerbel and Company out of St. Joseph.

The firm looked at financial records, transactions and anything related to the district's financial standing. They announced this year's findings at a school board meeting on Nov. 17. District administrators credit the responsibility of the district's staff as the reason for the positive review.

"We make sure the processes we have in place regarding transactions are followed and monitored and we are always mindful we need to watch out for the tax payer's interests," said Baldwin Community Schools Superintendent Stiles Simmons.
