LUTHER — Luther was the scene of charm and elegance on Saturday at the Luther Lions Club Hall, as nearly 100 people gathered for the 18th annual Ladies of the Museum and Lions Club Tea Party.

Proceeds, which are still being counted, are to be split evenly to benefit the Luther Area Museum and Luther Lions Club.

Tables were graced with fancy china, delicacies and piping hot tea, as guests enjoyed music by the Kitchen Band and a presentation by Bob Patterson of Patterson's Flowers. An abundance of door prizes were handed out.

"There was a good turnout," said Marilyn Gray, director of Luther Area Historical Museum. "Everyone had a great time and there was plenty of food. Bob Patterson did a wonderful job with the presentation, demonstrating two floral arrangements and teaching people how to properly take care of flowers. He donated both arrangements as door prizes."
