IDLEWILD — On Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013 the Idlewild Lot Owners Association once again kicked off Idlewild Week with the Annual Fashion Brunch at the Robert Riffe Youth Center in Idlewild.

Fashions were presented from Pandora’s Box and Northern Treasures, both located in downtown Baldwin. Once again, it was a treat to enjoy the catered food, good company and the fashions presented by the audience.

The program for the event listed as many as six generations who have vacationed in Idlewild. There were some members in attendance who could remember it taking most of the day to get from the Detroit or Chicago area to Idlewild. One visitor remembered stopping at a bakery and gas station in Bailey (south of Grant) which is still a stop for this photographer nowadays.

The Brunch also celebrated the 92nd anniversary of the Lot Owners organization. It will be a busy week for Idlewilders as they gather and reminisce about days gone by and enjoy watching the current generation enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
