North Country Trail Hike
The Spirit of the Woods Chapter of the North Country Trail Association announces a hike at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7. Those planning to hike should meet on High Bridge Rd. north of the river (south of Brethren) at the top pf the hill near River St. The plan is to explore a re-route of the North Country Trail in this area. Tailgate Chili Cook-off
The Village of Luther will host at Tailgate Chili Cook-off beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7 in downtown Luther. Bring what you need to make 3 to 5 gallons of chili. This year’s theme is “(Michigan) Heroes and Legends.” Tasting begins at 1 p.m. There is an entry fee. All proceeds go to support the Luther Days Association. C.O.V.E. (Communities Overcoming Violent Encounters), formerly known as Region Four Community Services (The Women’s Shelter) is seeking a group of people willing to share some of their free time.
