Lake County Historical Society

The Lake County Historical Museum Room is open Friday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m., or by appointment by calling (231) 898-2194. Museum exhibits include logging, one-room schools and 1930s quilts. Lobby displays can be viewed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 830 N. Michigan Ave. in Baldwin.

C.O.V.E. Women’s Group

Sportsman’s Club to meet

The Idlewild Historical and Cultural Center will be open on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. until August 30.

Luther Logging Days Parade

Idlewild Parade

The 16th Annual Idlewild Parade will be held on Saturday, July 5, starting at 12:00 p.m. (noon). The parade route will be from the old township hall on Baldwin Road, to Williams Island. Martin Johnson Heritage Museum

Stehouwer Free Clinic

Free limited health care services are available in Cadillac for residents of Wexford, Missaukee and parts of Osceola and Lake counties with low income and no health insurance. Weekly health clinics are scheduled based on availability of volunteer health care providers. New patients need to call 231-876-6150 for an eligibility appointment, which are held Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Office hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (closed noon - 1 p.m.)

Lake County History Day

The Lake County Historical Society will host Lake County History Day on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Museum, 830 N. Michigan Ave., Baldwin. Surrounding Lake County Museums will display artifacts from their collections. A special display of 1920s and 1930s bathing suits will be exhibited and the What is It? Contest returns. VA Without Walls

Alzheimer’s Support Group
