Blood Drive The American Red Cross Blood Services will hold a Blood Drive on Friday, August 2 from 11 a.m.  to 4:45 p.m. at Wal-Mart, 4854 W. US-10, Ludington. Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh 110 pounds and be in good health.   Lake County Historical Society The Lake County Historical Society Museum Room is open Friday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m., or by appointment by calling (231) 898-2194. Lobby displays can be viewed Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 830 Michigan Avenue next to the Pathfinder Library in Baldwin.   Breakfast Men of Purpose will host their monthly breakfast on Saturday, August 3 at 9 a.m. at 5889 S. Nelson Rd. (North of US-10).   A.A. Meetings A.A. meetings will be held each Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the Brohman Chapel, 7731 N. Woodbridge Rd., (M-37) in Brohman. All concerts take place at Wenger Pavilion in Baldwin.   Lions Breakfast The Luther Lions Club will host their monthly Breakfast on Sunday, August 4 from 8-11 a.m. at the clubhouse.   A Look Ahead   Pre-School Story Hour A Pre-School Story Hour will be held each Monday at 11 a.m. at the Luther Library through the summer. Children under 5 years must be accompanied by an adult. The children listen to a story, do a craft and have a snack. All concerts take place at Wenger Pavilion in Baldwin.   Troutarama Meeting There will be a Troutarama planning meeting Thursday, August 8 at 11 a.m. at the Lake-Osceola State Bank. All committee members, event chairpersons, volunteers, and interested community members are cordially invited to attend. also any written suggestions for this years festival can be submitted at the Wenger Insurance office. Dates for Troutarama 2013 are July 17-21. Remember, 2013 is the 57 th Anniversary of Troutarama.   Alzheimer’s Support Group An Alzheimers’s Support Group meets the second Thursday of each month at the Mason County District Library, 217 E. The group is open to anyone who is grieving a loss. There is no charge to participate. The next meeting is Monday, August 12. (Communities Overcoming Violent Encounters), formerly known as Region Four Community Services (The Women’s Shelter) is seeking a group of people willing to share some of their free time. A training will be held for those interested in assisting staff in answering the crisis line and/or being a receptionist. Household items in working order are also needed.   Hospice of Michigan  Sesame Street Package Hospice of Michigan is pleased to offer the Sesame Street program titled When Families Grieve through the Pathfinder Library, in Baldwin. The kits are bilingual (English and Spanish) and include two booklets and a DVD.
