Friday Fish Fry
The Lake County Knights of Columbus will host a Friday Fish Fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. every Friday from Feb. 19 through March 25 at St. Ann’s Meals program site, 690 E. Ninth St., Baldwin. Takeouts are available.
Jam Sessions
The VFW Post No. 5315, (three miles north of Baldwin), will be hosting Jam Sessions every Friday at the Post. The next session will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19. Membership drive: bring your DD214 to see if you are eligible to join.
Sled Dog Races
The MUSH Amateur Sprint Races will take place on Saturday, Feb, 20 at Sweetwater Non-Motorized Winter Sport Trail west of Baldwin. Best viewing times will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. PLEASE leave your own pets at home. Events will resume at 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21.

Stehouwer Free Clinic
Free limited health care services are available in Cadillac for residents of Wexford, Missaukee and parts of Osceola and Lake counties with low income and no health insurance. Weekly health clinics are scheduled based on availability of volunteer health care providers. New patients need to call (231) 876-6150 for an eligibility appointment, which are held Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Office hours are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed noon to 1 p.m.).
Preschool Story Hour
The Luther Library will host a Preschool Story Hour at 11 a.m. on Mondays throughout the school year. The next meeting will be Monday, Feb. 22.
Playgroup
Parents and children ages birth to five years are invited to join the Baldwin Playgroup, meeting from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. each Monday at the Baldwin Pathfinder Library. Playgroup is designed to build on the strengths of families by teaching creative ideas to help children build their skills. Summers Senior Center
The Henrietta Summers Senior Center, located at 723 E. Living On Grief Support
A Hospice of Michigan grief support program, Living On, is held from noon to 1:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month at the Ludington Hospice of Michigan office, 5177 W. US 10, Suite 2. The next meeting date is Monday, Feb. 22.
Fresh Food Giveaway
Grace Mobile Pantry, together with Feeding America Food Bank, will provide free fresh food from noon until gone on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Food will be distributed in the parking lot of Lake Township Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 23. Take M-37 south to 76th St., west to Star Lake Rd., south and west to the hall on the right.
If you are income eligible, have children in need or have a temporary distress situation and are a resident of Lake County, you may come and fill out the form on the day of distribution.

C.O.V.E. (Communities Overcoming Violent Encounters), formerly known as Region Four Community Services (The Women’s Shelter) is seeking a group of people willing to share some of their free time. A training will be held for those interested in assisting staff in answering the crisis line and/or being a receptionist. Hospice of Michigan Sesame Street Package
Hospice of Michigan is pleased to offer the Sesame Street program titled “When Families Grieve” through the Pathfinder Public Library in Baldwin. The kits are bilingual (English and Spanish) and include two booklets and a DVD. Particularly designed to help children grieve, the kit also is to help patients and families sort through complex emotions, remember the life of a loved one, and find strength in one another.
