OneSpan: Q1 Earnings Snapshot

CHICAGO (AP) _ OneSpan Inc. (OSPN) on Tuesday reported a first-quarter loss of $9.2 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Chicago-based company said it had a loss of 23 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 16 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 8 cents per share.

The internet security company posted revenue of $50.8 million in the period.

OneSpan expects full-year revenue in the range of $215 million to $225 million.

OneSpan shares have climbed 22% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $25.13, a climb of 55% in the last 12 months.
